IPTV setup for Apple TV, iPhone and iPad.
Get connected on Apple TV, iPhone or iPad with a compatible player.
Connect your player in four steps.
- 1
Choose your player
Open the Apple App Store and select a player that supports Xtream Codes or M3U playlists, such as UHF or iPlayTV. Check device support before installing.
- 2
Add a playlist
Open the player and choose its option to add an Xtream Codes account or playlist.
- 3
Enter your activation details
Paste the server URL, username and password from your activation message. Allow your channel list and guide to load.
- 4
Check your connection
Try a live channel and an on-demand title. Playback quality depends on the source, device and network you are using.
Choose an app for tvOS, iOS or iPadOS
Apple TV uses tvOS; iPhone and iPad use different operating systems. An Apple TV player is not automatically available on an iPhone. Check device compatibility and purchase terms in the App Store before installing. For example, iPlayTV’s listing describes an Apple TV player with playlist and Xtream Codes support.
A player provides the interface, not the television subscription. Its licence can cost extra. Choose an app that accepts the login format from your activation, rather than paying for several apps before checking what each requires.
Add the account and test ordinary viewing
For Xtream Codes, put the server URL, username and password in separate fields. Keep any protocol and port in the address. For M3U, use the complete private playlist link. A playlist nickname is your label, not normally your service username.
Let the initial import finish, then test the controls, sound, available subtitles and moving between live and on-demand content. AirPlay or casting support varies by app and receiving device. Check the current publisher listing if casting matters to you; direct Apple TV playback and sending video from a phone are different setups.
Keep connection and account limits separate
Test on the network you intend to use. A phone switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data changes the connection and can affect playback or data usage. Record the active connection when an issue occurs. If only one channel fails, compare another source before changing the account settings.
Installing a login on another device does not automatically allow both screens to watch at once. Confirm your simultaneous-connection allowance. Keep private playlist URLs out of public screenshots; they may contain credentials. When contacting support, start with the device model, player version and channel, rather than posting your password.
Common setup questions
Can I use one app on Apple TV and iPhone?
Only if its App Store listing supports both. Check platform compatibility before buying.
Does adding my iPad give me another connection?
No. The subscription’s simultaneous-connection allowance is separate from the number of devices where you can enter the login.
